The Proceedings of the 2nd International Conference on Islam and Civilization (ICONIC 2) present a collection of peer-reviewed papers discussed at an international academic forum organized by STAI Dr. KH. EZ. Muttaqien, Purwakarta. ICONIC 2 was held on October 25, 2025, in a hybrid format combining on-site sessions and online participation, bringing together scholars, researchers, practitioners, and students from various countries and academic backgrounds. This proceedings volume is published with ISBN 978-623-97987-1-0.

Carrying the main theme “Islamic Knowledge and Innovation for Global Sustainability: Challenges and Opportunities in the Digital Era,” this conference responds to contemporary global challenges by examining sustainability issues through the perspectives of Islamic knowledge, civilization, and innovation. The proceedings reflect interdisciplinary discussions on how Islamic values, ethics, and intellectual traditions can contribute to economic, social, ecological, and technological sustainability in an increasingly digital and interconnected world.

The published papers cover three major thematic areas: (1) Islam, Humanity, and Global Transformation; (2) Islamic Finance and the Green-Blue Economy in the Era of Digital Transformation and Geopolitical Uncertainty; and (3) Islam, Ecotheology, and Green Education for Sustainability. Contributions address topics such as Islamic philanthropy, sustainable finance, environmental ethics, digital transformation in education and banking, ecotheology, and humanitarian perspectives rooted in Maqasid al-Shariah and Islamic ethical frameworks.

Through rigorous academic procedures and international scholarly exchange, the ICONIC 2 proceedings aim to disseminate innovative research, strengthen global academic collaboration, and provide meaningful insights for policymakers, educators, and researchers. This volume is expected to contribute to ongoing global discourse on sustainability while highlighting the relevance of Islamic civilization in shaping ethical and human-centered responses to contemporary challenges.
